Access to justice

Strategic Objective:

Strengthen legal protection and effective implementation of existing legal frameworks for ensuring nondiscrimination and equitable access to justice to Dalits & CDWD in Asia.

Key Strategies:

1 Capacity development of activists and human rights defenders on monitoring, fact-finding, reporting and submissions regarding human rights abuses and violations.

2 Generate evidence on cases of abuses and atrocities against Dalits & CDWD and fill the required gaps in legal protection.

3 Foster inter-country policy dialogues by sharing of good practices among justice actors and human rights activists in Asian countries regarding the already available and innovatively initiated legal as well as executive policy instruments.

4 Engage with regional, UN and other international level human rights institutions and mechanisms for Dalit and CDWD friendly human rights frameworks and their effective implementation.
